April Sather to Depart 88.3 WAFJ

88.3 WAFJ/Augusta Morning Show Co-Host April Sather is leaving the station and exiting radio.

April says, “After much prayer and seeking God’s direction, it feels bittersweet to be sharing He is leading me into a new season. At the end of this year, I will be stepping away from 88.3 WAFJ to serve as a director at a women’s center in my community—an organization that walks alongside women and families facing unplanned pregnancies, offering support so they can choose life and encounter the One who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. It has been an honor and a joy to spend the past 20 years sharing the hope of Jesus through radio and working with so many incredible people. I’m beyond grateful for this chapter which has guided me and prepared my heart for what comes next.”

April was previously with WCLQ/Wausau and has been with WAFJ for the last eight years. GM John Bryant says, “April has been an incredible asset to our ministry. The Lord has used her in so many different ways since joining our team. We are sad to lose her, but at the same time, we are excited for what God has in store for her next chapter. I can’t think of anyone better than April to take on this new role of advocating for life in the Central Savannah River Area.”

The search is ongoing for a new morning show co-host to work alongside Ethan Milburn.
