WGTS 91.9 Welcomes John Nolan and Lisa Berigan to Afternoons

After an extensive nationwide search, WGTS 91.9 is pleased to announce industry veterans John Nolan and Lisa Berigan are joining the Washington, D.C., station to host afternoons.

Nolan has over 30 years of radio experience, most recently doing afternoons at The Fish, Los Angeles. He is no stranger to D.C. He spent 20 years in the city working at several stations including WASH, WBIG, Z104, and WPGC.

“I am so grateful and humbled that God opened the door for me to come home to serve Him and share His love with WGTS listeners,” said Nolan.

Berigan is an award-winning broadcaster who has worked at several stations in the D.C. market since 2006, including WASH, WBIG, Z104, and WMZQ. Her career has also taken her to Philadelphia, Tulsa, and Seattle. During Berigan’s time at iHeartRadio in Washington, D.C., she met and worked with Nolan, making this a welcomed reunion for both.

“I am thrilled to be joining the outstanding team at WGTS 91.9,” said Berigan. “Thank you to President and CEO Kevin Krueger, CAO Kelly Carvalho, and Program Director Brennan Wimbish for this incredible opportunity! I can’t wait to get started and work side by side with my longtime friend and colleague John Nolan.”

Wimbish shared, “I’m so excited to have John and Lisa join the team. They both bring fresh energy, deep experience, and a love for this community that will build on the foundation already laid by those who came before them. I’m excited to see them inspire and engage people for Jesus, together with the rest of us.”

“It is an honor to welcome two talented media veterans to our team,” said Krueger. “Their contributions will extend well beyond the afternoon show as they both have big hearts for connecting with listeners personally, and connecting with people is what we are all about.”

The on-air start date for Nolan and Berigan will be announced soon. They replace Johnny and Stacey Stone, who retired at the beginning of August.
