WGTS 91.9 listeners showed up by the thousands recently at the third annual DMV Chocolate and Coffee Festival. The festival features over 200 coffee, chocolate, and other vendors representing countries from all over the world. As the title sponsor, WGTS greets every attendee at the door and provides them with a WGTS-branded shopping bag. This year, WGTS welcomed 12,985 people over the two-day event – a new attendance record.

In addition, attendees were encouraged to donate nonperishable food items for “Food for Others,” a large food bank that serves Northern Virginia. This year, listeners donated 2,017 pounds of food, over 500 pounds more than last year.

“I love events like this where we get to meet listeners and potential listeners alike,” said WGTS morning show host Jerry Woods. “It is such a fun and delicious atmosphere. It brings me joy to see people at a public festival stopping by to donate food and then also praying with one of our team members.”
