Educational Media Foundation Announces Plans For Newly Acquired Signals In Nashville Area
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Educational Media Foundation (EMF), the parent organization of leading Christian radio networks K-LOVE and Air1, has announced its plans for newly acquired signals in Middle Tennessee.
In May, EMF finalized the purchase of four signals, including two in Nashville, and single stations in Murfreesboro and Honolulu.
In Music City, Christian music will keep flowing on WFFH 94.1 FM as it shifts to Air1 Worship Now, which will also continue to be heard at 92.5 FM. The move expands Air1’s coverage area significantly in the Nashville area. The signal changeover took place on May 1, launching with 10,000 worship songs in a row. Air1’s regular modern worship format with music, faith content, and on-air personalities launches on June 3.
In addition to Air1’s new Nashville signal, Air1 also adds KAIM 95.5 in Honolulu.
In Murfreesboro, WBOZ 104.9 will now air Positive Encouraging K-LOVE. Plans for WFFI 93.7 FM are still pending.
“For many of us, Christian music is an integral part of daily life,” said David Pierce, EMF Chief Media Officer. “It is an honor to take the torch from our colleagues at The Fish and keep sharing Christian music on 93.7, 94.1 and 104.9 in Nashville, and 95.5 in Hawaii.”
EMF currently operates across radio, publishing, film, live events, audio streaming, video streaming, and podcasting. It employs 500+ team members among its offices in California, Tennessee, and field locations. The new K-LOVE headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, is set to open in late summer 2024.
