BMI Honors Jackie Patillo at 2025 Christian Awards
On June 17, BMI recognized Gospel Music Association President Jackie Patillo with its prestigious BMI Spotlight Award, celebrating her three decades of leadership and advocacy in Christian and Gospel music. Patillo’s impressive career includes executive roles at Star Song, Benson, Integrity, and Verity Records, where she helped shape the careers of artists such as Natalie Grant, Donnie McClurkin, Israel & New Breed, Marvin Sapp, and many others.
Since 2010, she’s led the GMA and its foundation, co-executive produced the Dove Awards—reaching over 3 million viewers annually—and been inducted into the Stellar Gospel Music Hall of Fame (2019) and the SOURCE Hall of Fame (2023). BMI also took the occasion to honor top Christian songwriters, publishers, and the year’s 25 most-performed tracks during the invitation-only event hosted by Leslie Roberts and BMI CEO Mike O’Neill.
Jackie Patillo joins an esteemed circle of former Spotlight Award recipients, including Dottie Leonard Miller, Randy Edelman, and Frank Gari.
