10th Year of Rock the Lake Draws a Crowd Over 10,000
Rise FM hosted its 10th year of Rock the Lake on Saturday, August 3 at Old Field Beach, Indian Lake. An estimated crowd of over 10,000 showed up to hear Christian favorites Evan Craft, Josh Baldwin, and headliner Crowder. “The beach was full and more people just kept coming in as Crowder prepared to take the stage,” stated a Rise FM staff member. Gates opened at 1 PM for concert-goers to set up their chairs, visit local food trucks, and vendors, and enjoy the beach. Evan Craft who is known for hits Desesperado and Be Alright, opened the evening and brought a Hispanic flair with his bilingual and colorful music. Josh Baldwin, of hits There is Freedom and Evidence shared a moving message with words and song and drew the crowd in who sang and danced along. The event’s highlight was the headliner, national Christian recording artist Crowder. Dove Award-winning Crowder is well known for such hits as Good God Almighty, Grammy-nominated Come as You Are, Red Letters, God Really Loves Us, and more. Crowder electrified the crowd who was on their feet for his whole set!
Among the 10,000 attendees were 26 who were baptized, 28 vendors, 75 volunteers, 9 Rise FM staff members, and much more. Some of those in attendance had this to say: “This was my first time going. This 10th year of Rock the Lake also marked the end of an era with Morning Show Host Angie Miller. Angie recently took the Executive Director position at the Hope Center in Marysville. Station Managing Director and Founder Mark Boyer thanked Miller from the stage as they closed the night. He thanked her for her hard work and dedication over the last 10 years of Rock the Lake.
