WGTS 91.9 Celebrates 10 Years of Service with CEO Kevin Krueger
(Rockville, Md.) – Staff members, board members, and friends of Kevin Krueger recently threw a surprise party to celebrate ten years under his leadership. A decade ago, Krueger transitioned from Positive Life Radio in Walla Walla, Washington, where he had served for three decades, to Washington, D.C., to take the reigns of WGTS 91.9. Under Krueger’s leadership, the station has formed a new corporation to purchase itself, tripled the number of full-time staff members, opened a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility, and purchased All Worship to reach new audiences online.
The surprise party for Kevin took most of the summer to plan. Somehow, over 50 people managed to keep the secret for months until Krueger drove up to the venue with his family, who were in on the surprise. As he approached, staff members marched in front of his car with a banner congratulating him on ten years at WGTS and 40 years total in radio.
“What a phenomenally thoughtful team and board we have,” said Krueger. “I’m overwhelmed by their generosity, love and support. What an amazing time we had together. I am so grateful and humbled. God has been good.”
