Trans World Radio Names Andy Schick New CEO

International media ministry Trans World Radio (TWR) has appointed Andy Schick as its new president and CEO, marking a new chapter in the organization’s leadership. Schick will officially assume the role in August, becoming the fifth person to lead the ministry since its founding.

He succeeds Cassius Smith, who has served as interim president since October 2024 following the unexpected medical emergency of longtime CEO Lauren Libby. Libby, who served as TWR’s fourth president and CEO for 16 years, suffered a major stroke in August 2024 and continues to recover at a rehabilitation facility.

Schick, a New Zealander with a diverse background in technology, ministry, and international development, brings a wide range of experience to the role. Most recently, he led revenue and technology transformation at the Christian aid organization World Vision. He also served as a board member and adviser to TWR partner ministry Reach Beyond.

Schick and his wife, along with their four daughters, will remain based in New Zealand. He will work in close coordination with a chief operating officer located at TWR’s global headquarters in Cary, North Carolina.
