Positive Alternative Radio Announces Two Leadership Appointments

Positive Alternative Radio (PAR), a leader in Christian non-commercial broadcasting, is proud to announce two significant leadership appointments as the organization continues to build on its mission of sharing the hope of Jesus through radio.
Adam McCain, a respected veteran within the organization, has been named Chief Operating Officer (COO) of PAR. In this new role, McCain will oversee the day-to-day operations and lead strategic initiatives across PAR’s family of stations.
McCain has been part of the PAR team for 15 years, most recently serving as General Manager of WCQR in Johnson City, Tennessee, for the past 9 years. Under his leadership, WCQR has experienced consistent growth, deepened community impact, and fostered a culture of excellence.
“Adam brings a combination of vision, operational expertise, and a deep heart for ministry,” said Eddie Baker, President and CEO of Positive Alternative Radio. “His leadership has been instrumental at WCQR, and I’m confident he will help PAR deepen engagement in the communities we serve.”
With McCain’s transition, PAR is pleased to announce that Michael Birkner will step into the role of General Manager at WCQR. Birkner has served as Operations Manager at WCQR and is also the Dean of PAR University.
