Moody Global Media Announces New Hire and Two Promotions
Vice president and head of Moody Global Media, Wes Ward, announced Brent Paulus has been hired as director of business operations.
Paulus comes to Moody from Life Action, a ministry that has been serving families, churches, and leaders since 1971. Throughout his almost 20-year tenure at Life Action, he held several positions, most recently as director of finance and human resources. He also served in other roles at the Michigan-based ministry related to programming, staff services, and strategic planning.
“Having served alongside Brent at Life Action, I’m excited for the impact his steady, servant–leader presence will have at Moody Global Media,” reflected Ward. “For nearly two decades, he and his wife, Maggie, have faithfully served with Life Action Ministries and he has built healthy teams, strengthened processes and supported gospel-centered, mission-focused ministry. His strong systems- and people-focused mindset will prove invaluable as we continue to work toward our 10-year vision to reach 100 million people weekly with the gospel.”
“In all the places God has given me the opportunity to serve, I have carried a passion for organizational health through humble clarity,” added Paulus. “I am excited to take that passion to Moody, which has a faith-filled history of proclaiming, equipping, and training people to follow Christ.”
Reporting to the vice president and head of Moody Global Media, Paulus will oversee business operations and finances, as well as the overall health of the teams, including culture and organizational alignment.
Ward also announced the following two promotions:
- Jesse Ruggles: Director of engineering, Jesse Ruggles, has been promoted to serve as director of media technologies for Moody Global Media. Reporting directly to Ward, Ruggles now sits on the Moody Global Media leadership team and serves as the primary technical advisor. In his new role, he will provide strategic leadership to the area of media technology, providing direct management and mentorship to the director of engineering, national operations director, as well as the chief studio engineer. The almost 20-year radio veteran who has served at Moody Radio for eight years will set the strategic vision for all media technologies, ensuring the selection, implementation and stewardship of technology serves and advances the ministry’s mission.
