Jenna Perry Joins 91.3 WCSG’s Midday Program

91.3 WCSG is excited to announce that their newest on-air talent, Jenna Perry, is now lending her voice alongside seasoned host Tom Neering during their midday program.

Jenna, a graduate in Broadcast and Communications from Cornerstone University, began her radio journey voicing overnights for WCSG until being moved to the role of evening host in January 2024. However, it didn’t take long to recognize Jenna’s ability to speak into the younger segment of WCSG’s audience, so she was soon asked to partner with veteran host Tom Neering as part of his midday program.

“This was a wonderful opportunity to both strengthen our midday show and allow Jenna to continue to grow,” says Brittany Riva, WCSG Program Director. “Tom brings a longevity and empathetic voice to our listeners while Jenna brings a fresh perspective and tons of energy. We are excited for listeners to get to know Tom and Jenna in a deeper way now that they are partnered together.”

Tom agrees. “It isn’t always that you get to work with someone who is so fun and quirky and willing to step out and be themselves in a relatable and fun-loving way,” he says. “Jenna has a good understanding of who she is and is willing to take risks – good risks – to convey to our listeners a piece of herself that is contagious and truly genuine.”

Jenna’s move to middays is not the only addition to WCSG’s lineup over the last several months. Long-time industry pros Kevin Richards and Chuck LaTour were recently added to the daily news team, and WCSG is in the process of adding a newer voice to weekends as well.

“With the recent changes in our news department, including the retirement of Becky Carlson and Joel Hill increasing his role in the academic setting, we had some opportunities to feature some new voices,” Brittany explains. “It’s exciting to bring in both well-known and new names to West Michigan radio. I’ve really enjoyed watching our team grow over the last year. I can’t wait to see what’s next.”
