Christian singer-songwriter Hannah Kerr is officially a mom!

Kerr and her husband welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Owen Shepherd, on July 29 at 8:58 a.m. Weighing 7 pounds, 1 ounce and measuring 18 inches long, baby Owen arrived three and a half weeks early, but is healthy, strong, and already deeply loved.

In a joyful announcement shared on social media, Kerr reflected on the experience with gratitude and awe, writing, “God’s mercy and kindness are in every detail of the story, especially the ones we didn’t even know to pray for.” She described her son as a “noble young warrior” and “a born leader,” explaining that both of his names carry meaningful significance, including a family connection.
