God’s Pit Crew Hosts Blessing Bucket Assembly at Joyce Meyer Ministries in St. Louis

God’s Pit Crew, a nonprofit disaster response organization based in Danville, Virginia, recently partnered with Joyce Meyer Ministries and Hand of Hope to host a Mobile Blessing Bucket Packing Event in St. Louis, Missouri. During the event, volunteers joined forces to pack 1,008 Blessing Buckets and 1,008 Play Pails, each filled with essential relief and comfort items to be distributed to individuals and families impacted by natural disasters.

This special event carries deep meaning for both organizations, as the very first Mobile Blessing Bucket Packing Event took place at Joyce Meyer Ministries in St. Louis in 2021, marking the beginning of an ongoing partnership focused on providing tangible help and hope to those in crisis.

Now, thanks to God’s Pit Crew’s specially designed tractor-trailer unit, mobile packing events like this one are held across the country multiple times each year. The mobile assembly system allows communities, churches, schools, and businesses to come together and make an immediate difference by preparing these life-sustaining buckets before disaster strikes.

Each year, approximately 20,000 Blessing Buckets are distributed following disasters across the U.S. and beyond. Every bucket is filled with more than 30 thoughtfully chosen items – including food, bottled water, towels, soap, sanitizing wipes, a Bible, and a handwritten note of encouragement – providing both practical help and emotional support to survivors in their most difficult days.

Alongside the Blessing Buckets, volunteers also packed Play Pails, a special outreach designed specifically for children affected by disaster. Each Play Pail includes hygiene and comfort items such as a child-sized toothbrush, comb, shampoo, flashlight, coloring book, and a cuddly stuffed animal – special items to bring hope and distraction in times of chaos and destruction.

“This partnership with Joyce Meyer Ministries and Hand of Hope is so special to us,” said God’s Pit Crew Blessing Bucket Co-Director, Miki Jenkins. “Together, we’re able to make sure these critical supplies are ready and waiting when disaster strikes. It’s incredible to see so many hands working together to prepare hope in advance for families who will one day desperately need it.”
