Family Life Radio Announces New Program Director
TUCSON, AZ (September 12, 2024) — Family Life Radio (FLR) is pleased to announce the hiring of Chuck Tyler as their new program director. He will be responsible for shaping FLR’s on-air content to connect optimally with listeners, managing the on-air team and coordinating all activities to keep the station engaging.
Chuck spent his career in mainstream radio, programming and hosting across major markets like Pittsburgh, Nashville, Los Angeles and Portland, before joining Salem Media to co-create and program the first Fish formatted CCM station. After working with all four of Salem’s L.A. stations, he left in 2023 to start BEN Media, a consultancy specializing in CCM and Christian teaching formats.
“We are thrilled to welcome Chuck to Family Life Radio! Chuck has an amazing track record and the vision to help grow this thriving ministry to inspire more people to live intentionally for Christ,” said Mike Kankelfritz, Chief Broadcast Engagement Officer for FLR.
After a year of working independently, Chuck is looking forward to returning to programming with FLR. As he begins his first experience in a non-commercial radio environment, Chuck’s initial focus will be to learn the nuances of non-comm programming while endeavoring to level up an already successful ministry.
“I am grateful for God’s perfect timing as I join Family Life Radio, where I’m excited to return to my passion in a role that aligns perfectly with my skills while contributing to equipping listeners to live an intentional life in Christ,” shared Chuck.
Chuck’s official start date with FLR will be September 30, 2024.
