Alive Event Brings Worship and Community to Downtown Dickinson

103.7 The Connection hosted the ninth annual Alive Event on Saturday, August 16, at Legacy Square in downtown Dickinson. The free, family-friendly event brought people of all ages together for a day of worship, fellowship, and fun.

Musicians from eight local churches led worship throughout the day, creating an atmosphere of praise and unity. Local ministries Cru, Youth For Christ, and Gideons, hosted tables, and the Christian Motorcyclists Association organized a prayer tent for attendees. The event also featured a kids zone with face painting, bead making, games, bubbles and more! Food vendors were at the venue all day.

An estimated 200 people attended The Alive Event. The event served as an outreach to the community. The Gospel was presented multiple times at the event.

While this was the ninth year for the Alive Event, it was the first year that The Connection was the lead organizer.

“Our tagline is ‘Connecting You to Christ,’ and this event falls right in line with our mission,” said Heidi Larson, General Manager of 103.7 The Connection. “Not only do we play great music, but we also go out into the communities we serve and share the love of Christ. We are excited to see what God does in the years to come through the Alive Event.”

The day also featured giveaway items, plus two dance parties to Forrest Frank’s hit “Your Way’s Better!” Attendees shared their excitement about seeing churches come together in unity to worship the Lord.
