88.3 Life FM Launches Home-Cast: Live Broadcasts from Listener Homes
There has been a huge loss of local Christian radio across the entire state of California, many being taken over by large corporate networks, eliminating any local connection. 88.3 Life FM, which serves the central valley in California, is doubling down on its mission to really connect with the community, by the return of the Home-Cast. The Afternoon Joyride (voted best radio show for all 5 years that the category existed) is taking the show directly to listener homes. They will be broadcasting live from living rooms and kitchen tables across Kern County.
“While other networks and stations have cut any kind of local connection, we’re excited to take a different approach in super-serving our community, literally taking the show directly to our listeners” said program director Matt Pelishek. “The broadcast will still be for everyone, but we will be including some fun surprises both on the air, and for the families that host us. We want this to feel like family coming over to visit”
The Home-Cast will take place throughout the month of July, and additional homes are being added throughout the month.
