Station Manager Appointed for KJRN FM (88.3 The Journey)
KJRN FM (88.3 The Journey) in Keene, TX, announces the appointment of Rich Hooper as the full-time Station Manager. Hooper has been serving as the Interim Station Manager since July 2023.
“We are thrilled to know Rich will be leading The Journey into the future,” says Ed Fry, chair of the committee charged by the Southwestern Adventist University board to oversee the ministry’s operations. “Rich is a seasoned, professional leader who has already had a substantial positive impact at The Journey and in the communities we serve.”
Hooper assumed the interim role as the former manager, Danae Songy, transitioned to a part-time role in Donor Development in order to spend more time with her growing family. According to the 2023 Nielsen Ratings, KJRN (88.3 The Journey) was the 1st preference Christian radio station for Johnson and Tarrant Counties, located in the southwest region of the Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex.
He is a 30-year radio veteran having worked at KCBI, KLTY, KTXG (American Family Radio-Dallas) among others. He is focused on establishing a continued presence in Johnson and Tarrant counties by providing encouraging media while super-serving those communities.
