WGTS 91.9 Welcomes Marriage Date Night

(Arlington, Va.) – Around 250 couples joined WGTS 91.9 for music and laughter during “Marriage Date Night” at the Grace Community Church in Arlington, Virginia. The night featured music from Johnny Diaz and comedy from Amberley Neese and Leland Klassen. The tour honored the shortest married couple, who had just gotten married in December, and the longest married couple, who had been married close to 60 years. The longest married couple disagreed on how long they’d been married.

“The goal is to bring couples together for a fun night together, so they can remember what it’s like to be a couple,” said WGTS 91.9 morning show host and marketing director Jerry Woods.

“We came last night and wanted to say ‘thank you.’ ” Marriage and parenting have been hard lately. To see my husband laugh again and both of us shed tears during the miscarriage song because we could relate was a special night. Thank you,” said listener Mandy Rockett.
