WGTS 91.9 Takes Part in National Day of Prayer
(Washington, D.C.) – On Thursday, May 4th, people across the country celebrated the 73rd annual National Day of Prayer. The WGTS 91.9 team took part in two D.C. area events. WGTS staffers headed over to Adventist Healthcare’s White Oak Medical Center in Silver Spring, where afternoon show hosts Johnny and Stacey Stone led healthcare workers from the hospital in prayer. Twenty miles away in Rockville, Maryland, WGTS morning show host Jerry Woods led county workers in prayer at the Montgomery County Government Center. Woods prayed for people who work in the media and related professions.
“Healthcare and media are a potent healing partnership,” said WGTS Director of Promotions and Community Engagement Ken Scribner. “Together, we can help people who are seeking not only physical but spiritual healing too.”
