WGTS 91.9 Presents Sold-out Sidewalk Prophets’ Christmas Show
(Burke, Va.) – For the second year in a row, WGTS presented “The Great Big Family Christmas” featuring the Sidewalk Prophets. Burke Community Church was packed for the sold-out show that features music, stories, gifts, and surprises for the audience.
“This is becoming a beloved tradition in the Washington, D.C., area. It’s really neat to see families make this part of their Christmas,” said WGTS morning show host and marketing director Jerry Woods. “We see families coming with grandparents, parents, and kids, and everyone enjoys the event. It’s a ‘cozy’ event that feels like a cup of hot chocolate in front of a roaring fire.”
At the show, WGTS listeners honored Rachelle Williams. Rachelle was paralyzed from the chest down after an accident at the gym. Listeners at the show gave over $4,100 to the Williams family to help them make their house more wheelchair friendly for Rachelle.
