WGTS 91.9 Names Kim Bindel as New Morning Show Co-Host

WGTS 91.9 has announced that veteran Christian radio personality Kim Bindel will join Jerry Woods as co-host of the station’s morning show.

Bindel succeeds Summer Shepherd, who transitioned to afternoons at WGTS in April. Claude Jennings, who has served as interim morning show co-host, will return to his regular responsibilities at the station.

With more than three decades of radio experience, Bindel brings a strong background in Christian broadcasting to the nation’s capital. She currently serves as morning show co-host and podcast director at WBCL in Fort Wayne, Indiana, a role she has held since October 2021.

Prior to joining WBCL, Bindel was on-air at Northwestern Media’s Life 101.9 (KNWS) in Waterloo, Iowa. Her Christian radio career also includes positions at WFFH in Nashville, WayFM, and WPFF in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.

WGTS said Bindel will begin work on July 16, with her first on-air appearance alongside Woods to be announced at a later date.
