WGTS 91.9 Hosts Newsboys Album Release Party
(WASHINGTON) – WGTS 91.9 invited listeners to meet the Newsboys on Friday, July 12, for two events. The first featured a live broadcast with the Newsboys at WGTS’ weekly ice cream tour event. The Newsboys came on Johnny and Stacey Stone’s afternoon show and then played three of their biggest hits for several hundred listeners at Redland Baptist Church in Derwood, Md.
After the mini-concert, the band headed to the WGTS studios. There, they held a listening party for their brand-new album, “Worldwide Revival, Part One,” which dropped on Friday, July 19. The Newsboys shared several songs from the new album and told the stories behind those songs. They also took questions from the audience and talked about their latest movie in the “God’s Not Dead” franchise, which comes out September 12, 2024.
“There aren’t many bands that have been around almost four decades, and we were honored to be able to create the platform for the Newsboys to meet our listening family and share new music with them,” said WGTS morning show host and marketing director Jerry Woods.
