WGTS 91.9 Celebrates the National Day of Prayer With Listeners

Over 400 WGTS 91.9 listeners and the community joined together to pray during the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 7th. Attendees sang along with a local praise and worship band. Speakers gave short messages about prayer, and then local leaders and pastors prayed for a number of groups, including government leaders, church leaders, school leaders, families, the media, and others.

“It is always encouraging to gather as ‘total strangers’, but when we pray, we become unified in worship, intention, intercession, thanksgiving, and hope, seeking the One who is the Savior of the world,” said Ken Scribner, WGTS director of promotions and community engagement.

This is the third year in a row that WGTS has partnered with National Day of Prayer gatherings around the listening area, encouraging listeners to come together to connect and pray.
