WCTL Weekends Feature New Voices

WCTL Radio, Erie’s only locally owned and operated Christian radio station, is welcoming two new voices to its weekend lineup.

Brittany Butryn brings a fresh perspective to Saturday mornings from 7 a.m. to noon and to WCTL’s Sunday morning worship program, Worthy of Worship, airing 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Recently recognized as one of Radio Ink’s “Women to Watch,” Butryn has been heard on radio stations in Oklahoma City and Pensacola, Florida, and has served as a national on-air personality for Westwood One. In addition to her work at WCTL, she is currently the remote midday host on WKXD “106.9 Kicks Country” in Cookeville, Tennessee. Known for her authentic and engaging style, Butryn says she especially values the opportunity to openly share her faith on WCTL.

Aaron Mason can be heard Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. He also serves as WCTL’s Traffic Manager. For Mason, joining the air staff is a full-circle moment. He grew up volunteering alongside his parents at WCTL fundraisers and later completed an internship with the station. Over the years, God developed within Mason a deep passion for Christian radio and contemporary Christian music. Before returning to Erie, he gained experience in production and on-air broadcasting at The Word in Praise in Chesapeake, Virginia. Earlier this year, he earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Toccoa Falls College.

“It’s exciting for all of us to invest in the next generation of WCTL,” said Lori Clapper, Program Director for WCTL. “Brittany and Aaron each bring unique perspectives, a genuine love for radio, and most importantly, a heart for sharing the hope of Jesus with listeners across our region.”
