The Journey Adds New Podcast for Moms
The Journey (Lynchburg, VA) has launched a new podcast for moms. Brittany Minard from the Morning Journey and midday host Kate Justice will share from their experiences as moms as well as welcome guests to The Diary of the Mom Squad.
Brittany, mom of a toddler, says the idea for the podcast came from this year’s CMB Momentum, “After attending Momentum, I was inspired to create the new content. The Diary of the Mom Squad is a safe space for moms to listen to other moms who don’t always have it all together. Our hope at the Journey is that moms will be reminded that we all need Jesus to do this. As we tackle hard issues, we hope that you feel encouraged and comforted through it all and know that you are not alone.”
Kate, says, “As a mom who is still in the thick of my journey and hands-on parenting of teens and young adults, I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed, to question whether you’re doing the right thing — or even wonder if you’re messing things up beyond repair! I’ve been a single parent for a long season, and now as a mom in a blended family situation, I want anyone who listens to the podcast to realize they’re not alone. This is hopefully going to be a safe place to share joy and struggles, to ask guests about their experiences and find a place of hope and commonality no matter what each individual mom journey looks like.”
The first episode is now available. September’s issue will feature artist Laura Story sharing her experiencing as a mom. Laura was in The Journey studios recently to record the podcast.
