NRB Announces 2026 Resolutions, Elected Officers, and Board Members
On Tuesday, February 17, at the NRB 2026 International Christian Media Convention, the NRB Board of Directors announced nine formal resolutions for 2025.
Each year, NRB’s Board of Directors approves a new slate of resolutions expressing the association’s support or opposition to domestic legislation, cultural movements, judicial decisions, geopolitical or international issues, or events of particular importance to NRB members.
The 2026 resolutions are:
- Celebrating the 250th Anniversary of America’s Founding—NRB expresses gratitude for God’s faithfulness to our Nation, reaffirms its commitment to protecting the free exercise of religion, free speech, and free press, and honors the sacrifices of America’s Founders, leaders, and service members.
- Opposing Harmful FCC Policy Changes—NRB shall monitor and respond to FCC rulings, rulemakings, and guidance that may affect faith-based broadcasters’ access to platforms or fair treatment by internet service providers (ISPs) and distribution channels.
- Protecting AM and FM Radio & Local Christian Stations—NRB shall vigorously advocate for initiatives that preserve AM and FM radio and local Christian stations, which remain vital for many religious and rural communities.
- Condemning Religious Persecution Worldwide—NRB stands in solidarity with persecuted Christians in countries and regions like Nigeria, China, North Korea, Armenia, and the Middle East, and calls for the United States and international bodies to take immediate and decisive action to end the ongoing atrocities and protect the fundamental rights of believers worldwide.
- Reaffirming the Great Commission in Media—As Christian broadcasters have unique opportunities to address contemporary cultural debates, NRB challenges them to keep the Gospel central amid cultural engagement and social commentary.
- Commending NRB Members’ Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Response Efforts, 2026—NRB commends the work of groups within the NRB membership to mobilize humanitarian aid and material and spiritual support at disaster sites around the world.
- Addressing Corporate Threats to Free Speech, 2025—NRB supports a reexamination of S. 230 in light of its original intent and urges that all possible methods be used to address consumer harms and possible violations of the law caused by collusive corporate action.
- Applying Wisdom in Use of Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technology, 2025—NRB urges Christians to exercise responsibility and wisdom in utilizing AI and other emerging technologies, to acknowledge the limitations of technological enhancements and interventions, and to oppose efforts to use AI technology for anti-human and immoral purposes.
- Condemning Global Antisemitism, 2025—NRB urges Christians to vocally condemn the escalating hostility toward the Jewish people and the nation of Israel, to reject all ideologies of hatred and violent animus, and to advocate peaceful discourse.
