KCBI Expands to Waco, Texas
Christian radio broadcaster KCBI, owned by First Dallas Media, is expanding its service Waco, Texas, acquiring KRMX Waco, TX, from M&M Broadcasters.
KCBI, the nation’s leading Christian music and teaching station, is adding a new signal just south of the Dallas-Ft Worth Metroplex that covers the Waco-Temple area of Central Texas. KCBI’s DFW format will be recrafted as a local Waco-Temple broadcast, likely to launch in mid-summer of 2024.
“This is a dream we’ve been working on for about five years,” said KCBI General Manager Matt Austin, Vice President of Operations at First Dallas Media. “God has opened a door for a powerful new radio station which will extend KCBI’s reach to over 560,000 people with Encouraging Music and Words of Hope found only in the Bible.”
KCBI will be the only local radio station in the Waco-Temple area that provides the most popular praise and worship music and solid Bible teaching. The new radio station will partner with local churches, universities and local ministries to make an even greater impact in the community.
“It’s our prayer that the Lord uses the station to strengthen listeners’ faith everywhere they live, work, play and worship,” said Matt. “As we face challenges and uncertainties in a broken world, there’s no more opportune time than now to expand beyond our current reach, building up many communities to be firmly rooted in God’s Word.”
KCBI is a 501c3 not for profit organization supported primarily by the donations of its listeners and supporters and has been faithfully serving Dallas-Ft Worth since 1976.
