K-LOVE & Air1 Listeners Donate $2.5 Million to Hurricane Relief

Educational Media Foundation (EMF), the parent ministry of leading Christian radio networks K-LOVE and Air1, announced today that its recent fundraising efforts for Convoy of Hope have raised more than $2.5 Million to support ongoing hurricane relief efforts in the Eastern United States.

Through a series of on-air campaigns across the K-LOVE and Air1 radio networks, generous listeners responded with an outpouring of funds to aid those impacted by historic Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The funds will enable Convoy to serve more than 50,000 families across Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia, and the hard hit Eastern Tennessee and Western North Carolina regions.

“Convoy of Hope is truly grateful for the extreme generosity of K-LOVE, Air1 and their amazing listeners,” said Ethan Forhetz, Convoy of Hope Vice President of Public Engagement. “This partnership empowers Convoy of Hope to continue meeting the direct needs of tens of thousands of hurricane survivors for the long term. Many of them are going through the most difficult season of their lives, and the tangible examples of God’s love we are able to provide them give hope during what can be a time of hopelessness. This partnership allows us to work together to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Convoy of Hope could not do what we do to serve hurting people without the generosity of K-LOVE, Air1 and their faithful listeners.”

Convoy of Hope is a faith-based nonprofit that partners with the local churches to provide essential aid including food, water, debris removal, building and cleaning supplies, and spiritual support. For one Florida mother, the spiritual aspect was deeply impactful.

“I was overwhelmed by the kindness of Convoy of Hope,” she said. “They filled my trunk with food, water, toiletries, and diapers, and then they prayed for me. I started weeping in the car line because it was the first time someone had prayed with me in the aftermath of the storm.”

To date, 4.5 million pounds of product have been deployed to more than 190,000 hurricane survivors across the six impacted states thanks to Convoy of Hope. They are committed to remaining in the hardest hit areas through 2025.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to stand with Convoy of Hope to help those in need at this critical time,” said David Pierce, EMF Chief Media Officer. “Thanks to the outrageous generosity of the K-LOVE and Air1 audiences, our neighbors in need are being helped both physically and spiritually. To God be the Glory!”
