98.5 KTIS Listeners Provide Cards for Area Seniors
Minneapolis/St. Paul, March 22, 2023 – 98.5 KTIS (Minneapolis/St. Paul) recently collected cards with encouraging notes for area seniors. The Cards of Hope campaign was designed to spread kindness and joy to seniors living in assisted living facilities. The station encouraged its listeners to create handmade cards for the residents.
Throughout the month of February, thousands of cards poured in from listeners of all ages, ranging from 1 to 81 years old. The cards were delivered to several senior living centers throughout the Twin Cities area, providing much-needed encouragement and connection.
One of the centers, Round Lake Senior Living, expressed their gratitude for the campaign, saying, “Words cannot describe the amount of joy that filled the hearts of our residents as they read their cards. We are SO blessed to have our new connections with our local Christian radio station!”
“We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with our listeners to show love and care for our neighbors in assisted living,” said Matt Deane, program director of 98.5 KTIS. “Cards of Hope is just one way that we can be a reflection of God and thank Him for all He has done for us.”
98.5 KTIS is a part of the Northwestern Media network of University of Northwestern – St. Paul. Northwestern Media stations broadcast on 81 outlets across 11 states, reaching more than 1.4 million listeners each week.
