89.5 KTSY Push Help for King and Country Movie “Unsung Hero” Soar in Idaho
Nielsen may rank Boise as market 84, but with the recent release of “Unsung Hero”, 89.5 KTSY helped move Boise into one of the top 25 markets for the movie.
“The outstanding response from the KTSY listeners to Unsung Hero is because of a long-standing partnership with “for King & Country”, said Brian Yeager, President of Barefoot Media Ministries.
About seven years ago, “for King & Country” came out, on their own dime, for a benefit concert for KTSY’s former program director, Travis Culver as he battled cancer. Since then, KTSY has experienced the authenticity of the Smallbone Family.
Before last year’s Christmas concert, “for King & Country” once again came for a special presentation and Q&A for major donors. Ken Corder, Barefoot Media Ministries’ new development director commented afterwards that it’s obvious that these guys are the real deal. This relationship with the donors has impacted the financial partnership of these donors.
The Smallbone family has become a treasured part of Barefoot Media Ministries that is greater and bigger than putting on concerts, or movies. It is a partnership.
