89.5 KTSY and Project Listeners Reach Out to Foster Kids in Idaho
Throughout Southwest Idaho many foster children don’t even have the essentials. They lack blankets, clothes, and other basics. Every kid should have a blanket, clothes, and the basic essentials.
That’s why 89.5 KTSY and Project 88.7 joined forces with Idaho News Channel 2 and Foster + Heart to encourage listeners and businesses to step in the foster care gap.
Foster + Heart is a Christian ministry that supports foster families, as well as hosts homes for foster kids, focusing on keeping sibling groups together.
For one day, these three broadcast stations united at a Treasure Valley Walmart to invite listeners to donate items for emergency care kits. Local businesses came out in force.
In the end, over $75,000 worth of items were donated for emergency care packs.
