Eric Johnson Tapped As Kinship Radio PD

As of April 1, Kinship Radio, based in Mankato, MN, named Eric Johnson as its new Program Director and afternoon host. Eric has served as the station’s Operations Manager for the past eight months. Prior to that, he served with Moody Radio’s South Florida station, WRMB, and as the Program Director at WCDR/Cedarville OH.

“I’ve been deeply grateful for the kindness and support the Kinship team has extended to me,” Johnson said. “I look forward to partnering with them in this new capacity as we continue proclaiming the message of Jesus daily.”

Chris Lemke, Kinship Radio’s new Executive Director, added, “I’ve known Eric for 25+ years, but we never really worked together. Working with Eric for the last five months has been a refreshing and rewarding experience. His character, his skills, and his passion for connecting others to Jesus well complement what we need and desire here at Kinship Radio.”

Eric will continue working primarily from his home in Florida while overseeing the on-air content and team. He’ll make occasional trips to Mankato to work with the network’s leadership team on initiatives that deepen and widen the station’s audience and influence for Christ.

The network also added Jack Robertson of Magee, MS, as its early evening host. Robertson presently hosts mornings on Renew Radio. He’s also had stints at The Cross (Monroe, LA), Spirit FM (Missouri), and WAY-FM. Lemke adds, “Jack’s addition affirms our commitment to be more real and relational with those who listen and engage with us.”
