CUPS Mission Inspires a Major Motion Picture

What began as a powerful documentary and impactful short film is now being developed into a full-length motion picture that will tell the inspiring and transformative story of what God is doing in the world through the eyes of missionary, author, and comedian Mike Williams.

The creative vision and production will be spearheaded by accomplished filmmaker Trey Reynolds (“Blue Miracle,” “The Forge”), who brings both passion and excellence to the helm as Director and Producer along with Producer Darren Moorman (“Blue Miracle,” “Run the Race”).

The feature film will showcase the remarkable journey of CUPS Mission, a nonprofit committed to rescuing and restoring at-risk children and families in the Dominican Republic, Malawi, Africa, and Mexico. Through humor, heartbreak, and hope, audiences will experience the highs and lows of global missions as Mike Williams, career comedian, steps out of the spotlight and into the slums—learning what it truly means to serve.

“From the start, this story has captured hearts,” said Reynolds. “Now, with the feature film, we’ll be able to dive even deeper and reach even wider with a message that’s as entertaining as it is eternal.”

A diverse team of creatives, ministry partners, and investors has already come together to help bring the film to life, with active efforts to secure the necessary funding for production.

Supporters and faith-based film enthusiasts are encouraged to join this exciting next chapter by following developments at www.rescuedmovie.com

Jack Eason, Executive Director of CUPS Mission, shares, “This movie highlights what God is doing on the earth, not CUPS. CUPS is not the focus; Jesus is. I believe this film will inspire people to remember that God uses people. We are His Plan A.”

Jack’s team at Heart Share serves Christian radio and media ministries around the country, and this is their first foray into film.

This upcoming motion picture promises to be more than entertainment—it’s a call to action, a celebration of faith, and a front-row seat to a story that continues to unfold in some of the world’s most forgotten places.
