FEBC Expands Development Team with Industry Veterans Tim McDermott and Mark Mellinger

Tim McDermott (L) & Mark Mellinger (R)

Far East Broadcasting Company (FEBC) is thrilled to announce the addition of two highly respected leaders to its development team: Tim McDermott and Mark Mellinger, who join the ministry as Directors of Development. Both bring exceptional experience in Christian media, donor engagement, and ministry leadership, strengthening FEBC’s ability to share the gospel in some of the hardest-to-reach places on earth.

Tim McDermott has spent more than four decades leading in Christian broadcasting, serving as President and COO of KSBJ, one of the nation’s largest Christian radio stations. He has also been an influential member of the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) community, serving on its Board of Directors to help shape the future of Christian media worldwide where he currently serves on the Executive Committee as Treasurer. In addition to his development and broadcasting experience, Tim is also a CPA and will be serving FEBC in the financial area as well.

“Tim has spent his life using media to connect people with Christ,” said Ed Cannon, FEBC President and CEO. “His passion, vision, and extensive leadership experience make him a perfect fit for FEBC as we continue expanding our global reach.”

“I’ve heard about FEBC for years, but I never realized the impact they’re having on millions of lives all across the world. The reports and results of what God is doing through this ministry is simply incredible. What a joy is to serve with them to tell people about Jesus.

Mark Mellinger also brings a dynamic mix of media and ministry expertise to FEBC. He began his career as a television news anchor and reporter, later becoming a radio and podcast host & producer for ministries like The Gospel Coalition, Bott Radio Network, and World News Group. Most recently, Mark served as Director of Marketing and Development at the National Embryo Donation Center and as Director of Advancement at Haggai International, where he built strong relationships with donors and partners to advance the Gospel message.

“Mark’s ability to connect with people and share the heart of ministry is remarkable,” Cannon said. “His deep experience in media and donor development will be invaluable as we invite more partners to fuel FEBC’s mission.”

“It’s an incredible privilege to partner with a ministry so devoted to proclaiming Christ in some of the most unreached corners of the world,” said Mellinger. “I’m thrilled to come alongside donors and friends of FEBC to help bring hope where it’s needed most.”

With Tim and Mark joining the team, FEBC is poised to strengthen relationships with donors and ministry partners as it expands its gospel outreach. Today, FEBC broadcasts in 50 countries and 152 languages through radio, podcasts, streaming, and digital platforms, reaching millions with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
