The Museum of Christian & Gospel Music officially opened its doors in downtown Nashville with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that brought together city leaders, artists, and visionaries from across the faith and music communities. The celebration marked the launch of the museum’s permanent home at 402 Commerce Street, just steps from the Ryman Auditorium, and the unveiling of the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame within its walls.

The event featured remarks from Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, museum visionary Steve Gilreath, Metro Clerk Howard Gentry, GMA President Jackie Patillo, former Congressman Zach Wamp, and Dr. Rhonda Lowry, with additional appearances by Councilman Jacob Kupin, Commissioner Mark Ezell, and Councilwoman Joy Styles. Together, they highlighted the significance of preserving and showcasing the rich legacy of Christian and Gospel music.

The museum features over 500 historical moments told through video, artifacts, and photos, honoring more than 200 Hall of Fame artists and providing an interactive space for future generations to experience the enduring impact of faith-driven music.
