UCB Canada Celebrates 20 Years of Ministry with a Gala
(BELLEVILLE, ONTARIO, CANADA) – Listeners, board members, staff, and friends of UCB Canada recently gathered to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the ministry with a gala. On Friday, October 20th, a large group came together at The Grand Banquet Hall. Upon arrival, they were treated to a gourmet dinner, and the opportunity to take formal pictures. Then leaders of the ministry, including UCB Media CEO James Hunt, chairman of the board Linda Korgemets, and others helped to cast the vision for the future. A video showed the history of the ministry including messages from the early staff and founders. The evening wrapped with a performance by award-winning Canadian Christian band, The Color.
“It’s hard to believe this all started with one single station in the small town of Belleville, Ontario, 20 years ago,” says UCB CEO James Hunt. “It’s amazing to watch how God has been faithful and how He continues to bless this ministry and expand its territory, literally.”
From that single station, today UCB Canada now has 12 FM frequencies that reach over 1.5 million people across Canada making it the largest Christian radio ministry in Canada. The ministry is now working on a nationwide focused streaming channel, and several new FM signals are due to sign on in 2024.
