Family Life Radio’s Toy Drive Will Benefit 1,500 Children This Christmas
TUCSON, AZ (December 20, 2023) — Over 8,000 unwrapped gifts were collected as part of Family Life Radio’s (FLR) annual Toy Drive. The gifts will go to over 1,500 children across the country who may not have otherwise received a present at Christmas.
“Family Life Radio has an incredibly generous listening community. Their support of the Toy Drive is going to help families across the country experience the hope we have in Jesus this Christmas,” said Evan Carlson, President and CEO of FLR.
Over 100 local businesses in seven states served as drop off locations. The FLR regional promotion coordinators also hosted donation events where members of the local community brought their donations from footballs and soccer balls to board games and dolls. FLR partnered with eight local nonprofits who support families in need. In Arizona and Michigan, Youth Haven, a sister ministry of FLR, was the beneficiary. Youth Haven provides life-changing, Christ-centered experiences for disadvantaged children. “We are so thankful for the 56-year partnership with Family Life Radio and all they do to help the children we serve at Youth Haven. The toys collected allow us to show true Christian love in such a tangible way,” said Lars Carlson, President and CEO of Youth Haven.
FLR also teamed up with Lubbock Dream Center and Mission Agape in Texas, Carry the Cross Ministries/On Eagle’s Wings Farm in Missouri, Christmas for Kids Southwest in Wisconsin, Mission Southside in Kansas and Roswell Wings for Life and Victory Outreach ABQ in New Mexico.
