“Shout out to Johnny and Stacey Stone (WGTS 91.9 Washington DC). I was a nervous little fanboy when I first met them at a CMB Summit, having been a big fan for years. They are legends, and have done some incredible radio throughout the years. But what impresses me more is their authentic care for people. They have a drive to mentor people, and I’ve learned a lot from them, specifically in developing show-prep practices. They pray for and encourage people in our industry. They also demonstrate a healthy marriage, and it’s evident that they really love each other. Theodore Roosevelt stressed the importance of choosing good heroes to imitate. I’m a better person because of Johnny and Stacey’s influence.”
