JOY99 Celebrates 30 Years of Winning with the Return of the Match Game
JOY99 is celebrating a major milestone as “Match Game” wrapped up its 30th year—with more chances to win, more ways to play, and more than $15,000 in prizes given to listeners across West Michigan.
Since the JOY99 Match Game debuted in 1996, Match Game has become a listener favorite, awarding over $400,000 in prizes and creating decades of unforgettable moments. This year, JOY99 honored that legacy while updating the experience for today’s audience.
“For 30 years, Match Game has been part of West Michigan — long before smartphones, apps, and even in-car screens,” said Tommy Dylan, PD. “This year, we celebrated that nostalgia while making it easier than ever to play.”
In response to changing listener habits, JOY99 introduced a stronger texting component, allowing participants to opt in and engage directly from their phones—cutting down on busy signals and making the game more accessible than ever before.
The Match Game continues to be more than just a contest—it’s a shared experience that connects generations of listeners through fun, anticipation, and celebration.
