CMB Industry Shout-out – Chuck Finney
“Here’s a shout-out to my friend of 30+ years, Chuck Finney. We never worked together in mainstream radio, but did work for the same people at different times, and through them we met while both living in Cincinnati prior to him moving to KLTY in the early 2000’s. When I left radio behind and moved to Dallas in 2011 for a non-media para-church role, God pointed my family to buying a home less than a mile from the Finney’s (though I had no idea of the proximity at the time). He invited me to the men’s bible study he was starting in his kitchen and most Saturday mornings for the next 5 years or so, I was blessed to be with those guys (including Paul Martin and Frank Reed) for food and fellowship. Chuck makes a mean breakfast taco, btw! If God hadn’t put me in the middle of all that, I don’t know how I would have otherwise found a path into Christian media (ten years ago this Summer with WayFM).”
