Tell us about your station:

Shine FM’s mission is to love God by serving people – meeting practical and spiritual needs – so that those we serve will be built up in love, united in faith and maturing in Christ.

Your station’s most successful promotion:

We as a company do 2 large promotions that we are very proud of.

Passport to Summer from June-August and Christmas Miracles November and December

In Passport to Summer we encourage our listeners to visit sponsors where they receive a “stamp in their passport”! at the end of the promotion we have a huge party where we award one winner with anywhere from $5,000 to $10,590 for completing all the passport with all the stamps!

Christmas Miracles is at Christmas time. Our listeners nominate families that they think need help this Christmas, weather they simply need a helping hand or if they are not able to have Christmas at all. We pick 20 families and with the help of sponsors, nominators and our wonderful listeners we complete a wish list and then surprise the family with “Christmas ShineFM style” It has been humbling and rewarding to be part of and see the shock and thankfulness in this promotion.

One bit of wisdom to share with others:

“It’s not about the nail”
We need to look beyond the problem we can see and sense and look to the true hurt or pain and deal with that.

Share an impactful listener story:

We regularly get told that we seem to play the Right song at the Right time, weather it is during cancer treatments, shut-ins or just having a bad day, We are there with them in those moments.

Wise, Weird & Welcome: Learning and Leading with the Lepers and the Locust Eaters

We’ve all read the same books about teamwork, leadership, communication, and culture that everybody reads. We’ve mastered Maxwell, studied Sanborn, Sinek, and Sun Tzu, and liberally cribbed Collins in aborted attempts to go from good to great, but…

How’s that working out for you?

What if you left St. Louis with an entirely new lens through which to view and act upon improvements in:

Let’s examine how this all connects together, but approach it from an entirely different angle. Don’t just think outside the box. Kick the box to the curb and start at zero.
