Over the Christmas season, we celebrated our 3rd Annual Pajama Drive.
We partner with a local business and invite listeners, families, schools, church groups, etc. to donate new PJs for kids in need.
We distributed them to approximately 16 independent food cupboards and shelters. (below are two of the letters we received after Christmas from the shelters)
Here is some of the wording we use:
Many children in your community don’t have warm PJ’s for the winter months. Help by donating a pair of new pajamas.
Through the 3rd annual Pajama Drive, you are contributing to a warmer, more loving bedtime for children in the Ottawa & surrounding region.
Last year, you helped give 3,732 children a warmer bedtime. The need for new children’s pajamas is just as great this winter! Visit pj.chri.ca
- We conclude the Drive with a “Wrap-Up Party” in the style of a winter-themed carnival with games, prizes, craft table, photobooth, mascots, face painting, bouncy castle, and a kids movie showing.
- Admission is a pair of PJs. (photos below)
- We also take a photo of EACH person who comes in to the studio to drop-off PJs for our social media.
