Promotion Spotlight – CHRI

Over the Christmas season, we celebrated our 3rd Annual Pajama Drive.

We partner with a local business and invite listeners, families, schools, church groups, etc. to donate new PJs for kids in need.

We distributed them to approximately 16 independent food cupboards and shelters. (below are two of the letters we received after Christmas from the shelters)

Here is some of the wording we use:

Many children in your community don’t have warm PJ’s for the winter months. Help by donating a pair of new pajamas.

Through the 3rd annual Pajama Drive, you are contributing to a warmer, more loving bedtime for children in the Ottawa & surrounding region.

Last year, you helped give 3,732 children a warmer bedtime. The need for new children’s pajamas is just as great this winter! Visit pj.chri.ca

Event/Promotion:

  • We conclude the Drive with a “Wrap-Up Party” in the style of a winter-themed carnival with games, prizes, craft table, photobooth, mascots, face painting, bouncy castle, and a kids movie showing.
  • Admission is a pair of PJs. (photos below)
  • We also take a photo of EACH person who comes in to the studio to drop-off PJs for our social media.

From Arnprior District Food Bank Inc.:

On behalf of the Arnprior and District Food Bank Inc. we would like to thank you for your recent donation of 145 pairs of pyjamas.

With your compassion and generosity, we will be able to continue our vital outreach to those struggling in poverty in our community.

From  St. Mary’s Home:

St. Mary’s Home would like to sincerely thank you for your generous donation of children’s pyjamas.

Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated, especially this time of year.  St. Mary’s Home and the families who access our services rely on donations like these to make the holidays a special time of year.  Thank you again for making it possible to help give our women and families some holiday cheer.

Wise, Weird & Welcome: Learning and Leading with the Lepers and the Locust Eaters

We’ve all read the same books about teamwork, leadership, communication, and culture that everybody reads. We’ve mastered Maxwell, studied Sanborn, Sinek, and Sun Tzu, and liberally cribbed Collins in aborted attempts to go from good to great, but…

How’s that working out for you?

What if you left St. Louis with an entirely new lens through which to view and act upon improvements in:

Let’s examine how this all connects together, but approach it from an entirely different angle. Don’t just think outside the box. Kick the box to the curb and start at zero.
