The kids are out of school, and they constantly tell us they are bored! Here’s some idea starters for your show this week from the ninjas at CreativeCardio.com!

What’s your best come back when your kid says “I’m bored” this summer? Here’s some fun ones!

Here’s a few:

  1. Print off a new coloring page and color with them (Pinterest has tons)
  2. Visit your local library and pick out 5 new books (Most have some sort of summer reading program with prizes)
  3. Corn starch newspaper + water. Make paper mache and paint it after it dries!
  4. Freeze some toys in water, hide them in the backyard go on an archaeological dig
  5. Invite friend over and have an ice cream sundae bar! Ask people to bring different flavors of ice cream, candy & toppings.
  6. Make your own trail mix
  7. Build your neighborhood out of Legos together
  8. Have “Dive in movie” while floating in the pool.
  9. Have your kids pick out old toys and clothes they want to donate to needy children in town. Challenge your kids to look up charities online and choose the charity they want to donate the toys too!
  10. Read a story together but replace the characters with your children’s names.

A group of little girls in Texas were cited for their lemonade stand operating without a permit! I can’t imagine the cop who had to enforce this! Countrytime Lemonade has offered to paying fines for any kids who are fined for their lemonade stand this summer!
