If COVID-19 has taught us anything, it’s that community matters and we are all missing it.

Christian Music Broadcasters recently conducted a travel survey with CMB Members and the results let us know that a significant number of you aren’t quite ready to jump on a plane and see each other in person, yet. But thanks to virtual Momentum, we learned that with a little creativity, the CMB community can still come together to be encouraged, engaged and equipped.

We are doing it again…this time with the virtual September Momentum Summits. Two days of enlightening speakers and amazing performances. You’ll have the opportunity to experience intensive training interspersed with peer-to-peer learning to generate an action plan.

We know many teams are running on empty. Since these Momentum Summits are virtual and offered at a reasonable price, this is a great opportunity to send even more team members than ever before as a thank you for all the hard work and energy they’ve poured into your listeners.

Experience the virtual Momentum Summits in a live and interactive new way!

Why is CMB moving the September Momentum Summits to a virtual platform this year?

CMB is committed to encourage, engage and equip you in a safe and inviting environment. According to the CMB travel survey results from participating CMB Members, a significant number of you indicated that you and/or your organization weren’t ready to let you travel. Out of respect for those Members, the CMB Board decided to move the September Momentum Summits to a virtual platform. We know community is important, that’s why it is our hope that more people will be able to attend and be encouraged by moving the September Momentum Summits to a virtual platform.

What does my September Momentum Summits registration include?

  • Your registration allows one licensed user to attend BOTH the Music & Programming Momentum Summit (Sept 1st) and the Future of Radio 2 Momentum Summit (Sept 2nd).
  • You’ll participate with the virtual Q&A session twice each day, interacting directly with the speakers and your peers.
  • We’re excited to bring back the Networking Lounge that will give you the opportunity to connect with friends from all over the country and meet new friends. This is also where peer-to-peer learning will take place.
  • If you purchase the Virtual Registration + On Demand, you can relive the Momentum Summit experience at your own pace until they expire at the end of November.

What can we expect at the September Momentum Summits?

Access to the September Momentum Summits live stream happens through an online portal via your computer, tablet or mobile device. No need to dress up. Just come as you are and have a front row seat to the great education and amazing artist performances you’ve come to expect from CMB.

Can I watch this together with my team?

Each virtual Momentum Summit registration is licensed to the person whose name is on the registration. The two-day Momentum Summits are priced to be cost effective so that more people can participate.

What is the cost of this new virtual Momentum Summit?

The costs have been reduced because the expenses have been reduced. We hope this encourages you to register your team.

We are offering the following single registration packages per person for the TWO Momentum Summits:

Silver Member:
$99 (Virtual Registration)
$149 (Virtual Registration + On Demand)

Non-Member:
$199 (Virtual Registration)
$249 (Virtual Registration + On Demand)

Gold Member:
Included with Your Membership (Virtual Registration + On Demand)

What about networking? How can I build community or network at a virtual conference?

Twice each day, you’ll be able to participate in the Q&A session that will let you interact directly with the speakers. The highly popular Networking Lounge (from virtual Momentum 2020) will be available, allowing you to interact with your peers at virtual tables.

What about the Gold Member Retreat?

The Gold Member Retreat has moved to November 12 and 13 and will be held in a virtual setting as well.

What is the outlook for CMB as an organization?

God is beyond good.  Through you and hundreds of friends of the CMB community, CMB remains strong and confident. The CMB board and staff are proactively addressing how to fulfill its mission and vision for its members through existing and new educational initiatives and resources. Financially, with the cancellation of Momentum last year and the retooling of Momentum this year, CMB is shaken, yet hopeful. We are indebted to our members and friends of CMB for affirming the value and stewardship of what CMB means to our industry.

What can I do for CMB?

Please pray for our ongoing wisdom, peace and favor from God. As we pray for you, thank you for praying for us to have strong, enduring faith and obedience to guide us through these unchartered waters.  We are here for you as we encourage, engage, and equip our members to impact their communities for Christ.

From the moment I walked in the door, I felt like I was in a stretching machine. The questions and observations from the participants indicated to me a full on Engagement and investment. These People who are passionate about reaching others with the Goodness of God and the Hope of Jesus through radio, professionals that aren’t going through the motions. Thank you CMB and sponsors for putting on a first class, yet affordable event.

John Brock

On-Air Fundraising Coach
The CMB team hit this one out of the park. From the surprise of having Louie Giglio share, to the top notch speaker line up, this was an amazing event. I’m so glad a good portion of my team was there.

Jeff Scott

Station Manager, WBGL
I thoroughly enjoyed the unique format of the Summit and how it invited questions and interaction from the attendees. Especially since the crowd was eager to ask informed questions and absorb the insight provided by all the speakers. Many events are simply a person speaking at the attendees from the stage…the CMB Momentum Summit provided an actual forum for discussion and learning.

Scott Burnell

Global Lead, Business Development & Partner Management, Ford Motor Company
I’m thankful that CMB vets the top experts in the business to guide us through the ever-changing media landscape. Every CMB event I attend, I meet new people and get different perspectives from leaders in our industry

Steve Baker

The Joy FM, Director of Operations
I do a lot of speaking engagements and often get the sense that people are on information overload after several presentations. After mine, CMB did something I hadn’t seen before, using a professional moderator to engage the audience with thoughtful follow-up, unlocking real value. The entire conference had a learning vibe that was refreshing. Congrats to CMB for putting together a thoughtful event with great speakers, and first-rate content. Thanks for inviting me.

Steve Goldstein

CEO, Amplifi Media/Co-Founder, SONIC Ai
You guys/CMB runs the best conferences in the industry….great speakers, engaged participants, and formatted in a way that ensures strong interaction between audience and speakers. In all, a terrific event I was honored to be part of!

Alan Burns

It really is incredible and encouraging to share your passions with a group that’s so responsive and excited to learn and grow. During our session, we really enjoyed the ‘Q&A’ time, which opened up the whole room to brainstorming together: exchanging notes and comparing ideas. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of such a thriving event.

Skip & Amy

K-LOVE, Morning Show Hosts
CMB Summits are a great investment for any radio station. The content is relevant and applicable. And the networking time valuable. I would recommend that stations large and small include the Summits in their annual budgets.

Bob Croft

Spirit 88.9, General Manager
It was such a joy to meet up with friends across the industry for the 2019 Atlanta Music/Programming and On-Air Momentum Summit. These events are packed with outstanding speakers as well as time sharing wisdom from individual stations. I came away with plenty of notes. I was rejuvenated to apply what the event equipped me to bring back to my station.  Outstanding station and personal investment. Thanks CMB!

Music Director/Midday Host, Life 101.9

CMB’s mission is rooted in our faith in Jesus Christ and our desire to equip Christian music broadcasters. We acknowledge that all sponsors, speakers and event partners may not affirm our statement of faith. However, we believe that their participation will strengthen CMB’s overall mission and Kingdom objectives.

Wise, Weird & Welcome: Learning and Leading with the Lepers and the Locust Eaters

We’ve all read the same books about teamwork, leadership, communication, and culture that everybody reads. We’ve mastered Maxwell, studied Sanborn, Sinek, and Sun Tzu, and liberally cribbed Collins in aborted attempts to go from good to great, but…

How’s that working out for you?

What if you left St. Louis with an entirely new lens through which to view and act upon improvements in:

Let’s examine how this all connects together, but approach it from an entirely different angle. Don’t just think outside the box. Kick the box to the curb and start at zero.
