The Marketing Consultant position will encompass and fulfill SAU Radio station’s missions to inspire Jackson and the surrounding communities with music and conversation that reflects Christ in a relevant way; And, to share the story of Spring Arbor University through Christian music in south-central Michigan, while developing business relationships and sell commercials/underwriting for both stations to secure funds for SAU Radio. Full-time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide fundraising/sales support for SAU Radio, with monthly and annual sales goals.
Represent SAU Radio at community events and through networking opportunities.
Host an on-air radio show on SAU Radio as requested by management.
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, with some evening and weekend assignments.
Serve on university and community committees as assigned and requested.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. May supervise student staff as needed. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Be thoroughly supportive of the University’s mission and values as an evangelical Christian university affiliated with the Free Methodist Church.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred, preferably in sales/marketing, broadcast communications, business, or another related field.
Sales experience is required.

Provides top-notch customer service resulting in no customer complaints.
Meets sales goals for SAU Radio to profit and promote positive branding in the community.
Serves as a member of the advancement team, reporting to General Manager/Sales, showing care and respect for team members and the SAU Community by embracing the principles of the SAU Community Covenant.
