Love Marketing & Communications but not quite sure where you fit into the world of Radio? As a Community Engagement Intern, you will explore what it’s like to be on-site at various events connecting with listeners through our CityStop program, plus you’ll get experience behind the scenes learning more about writing, social media engagement and a working knowledge of every aspect of a career in broadcasting, including on-air experience.This will be a fast-paced, high-energy and life-changing internship. We want to pull the curtain back and give you a look at what really goes on at a successful local broadcasting organization. Are you up for the challenge?

Here are qualifications we are seeking: A current student in their third or fourth year of college pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Journalism, Digital Communications/Marketing, Radio/Broadcasting or similar. Understanding of digital platforms, social media, and/or any aspects of Media/Broadcasting functions. Sincere desire to build a career in Radio, Broadcasting, Media, Television or similar. You will need to be FLEXIBLE to succeed in this role. Changes occur weekly, daily, even hourly. Strong time management skills, ability to multi-task and a be a great note-taker. Desire to learn & listen, teachable, comfortable asking questions. Experience working in a team environment with a collaborative attitude. The ability to be outgoing, creative, resourceful & media savvy, will serve you well. Commitment to the culture, mission and values of Pulse 101.7FM. Be able to work on site in Waukee, IA.
