The Director  of IT  position exists to engage people to love Jesus, serve others and spread Hope. The Director of IT leads the team and is responsible for ensuring all endpoints, server clusters, software, internet connections, phone systems, security systems and network infrastructure operate reliably in accordance with best practices and industry standards. The Director of IT must maintain the security, integrity, and availability of all the Organization’s infrastructure, files systems and data assets. This role will guide and provide input to things like our acceptable use policy, information security strategy, compliance policy, solution selection process, and endpoint management. This role is also responsible for private, hybrid and public cloud infrastructure, and hardware lifecycle management. This is an onsite position.

Essential Functions

Leadership:

  • Provide clear expectations for professional behavior, team dynamics and daily task   delegation.
  • Track performance of team and complete performance reviews
  • Hold quarterly casual conversations with team members about what is working and   what is not working
  • Build and manage annual IT operating budget
  • Select and manage vendors

IT Systems strategy, integration, and support:

  • Provide expertise and vision for IT infrastructure and systems
  • Implement solutions that meet or exceed industry standards
  • Monitor helpdesk activities to ensure business priorities are followed
  • Establish appropriate cybersecurity policy, procedure, training and monitoring
  • Develop and communicate a 3-year department roadmap in alignment with corporate goals   and objectives
  • Lead or attend project specific team meetings
  • Build and track project specific budgets
  • Supply expertise on IT systems and solutions

IT Helpdesk process and customer relationships:

  • Establish and monitor help desk processes
  • Create and monitor help desk analytics, key metrics
  • Establish industry standard response and   resolution times
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal customers
  • Update department on changes made that impact operational systems, upcoming changes   and system deployments.
  • Convey technical knowledge in a user-friendly manner
  • Provide expert customer service

IT Security Policy and Compliance:

  • Maintain ultimate accountability for the security of our systems and data
  • Stay up to date on our threat surface and emerging attacks
  • Implement industry standard security tools, protocols and policies
  • Keep the organization compliant with applicable regulations and guidelines around   information security
  • Ensure that we are operating according to current CIS recommendations
  • Ensure that we are adhering to our PCI compliance policies

Demonstrated Faith:

  • Committed to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be spiritually grounded and biblically literate.
  • Comfortable praying for co-workers in team meetings, leading spoken prayer, and participating in ministry prayer meetings and Bible studies.
  • Lives by the Christian principles defined by the Ministry Statement of Faith.
  • Participates in on-air fundraisers and prays for donors as needed.
  • Has a passion for leveraging the platform of radio for evangelism and discipleship.
  • Exhibits a strong moral character.
  • Is an active member of a Bible believing local church.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Education:

  • Prefer a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or a related field
  • Appropriate experience, certifications, or other technical training such as military tech schools will be considered in Lieu of a degree

Experience:

  • 10 years’ experience providing IT support
  • 5 years’ supervisory / management experience in an IT department
  • Microsoft  Azure administration experience required
  • Experience with complex  infrastructure
  • Experience with Microsoft Data Center and Hyper V
  • Experience with Hybrid Cloud  solutions is a plus
  • IT Support experience in a  Broadcast or Media Production environment (radio, TV, Film, etc.)
  • Professional Certifications such as Cisco, A+,   Network+ and Microsoft for example, are a plus
  • Experience configuring and maintaining firewalls,  routers and switches
  • Experience with Cybersecurity tools and processes
  • Experience with formal task management processes
  • Experience with formal project management processes

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Heart for Christian Ministry
  • Strong moral character
  • Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Spiritually grounded and working knowledge of scripture
  • Must be an active member of a Bible believing local church

  • Demonstrated expertise in computer networking architecture
  • Use of test equipment like: Fluke Network Analyzer
  • Office 365 administration
  • MS Share Point administration
  • Active Directory Management skills
  • DNS and DHCP implementation and administration
  • Automated monitoring skills such as the use of SNMP
  • User privileges and access control and the auditing thereof
  • Budget Management skills
  • Vendor agreement negotiation
  • Lifecycle management skills
  • Risk assessment, management, and regulatory compliance
  • Vendor selection and management
  • Disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • Coaching and mentoring skills
  • Operating systems knowledge such as Windows, Mac OS, Linux, etc.
  • Server system implementation and administration
  • RAID based storage implementation and administration
  • Cloud based storage implementation and administration
  • IT Security tools like firewalls, IDS, routers, anti-virus and anti-malware software
  • Virtualization environments such as VMware, Hyper V, and Scale Computing

Supervisory   Responsibilities:

  • Immediate supervision over a unit, section, or department. Recommends candidates for hiring, termination; prepares and conducts performance appraisals and salary reviews and applies   company policies.

Working   Conditions and Environment

Travel: 

  • Occasionally for team meetings or project work

Nights/Weekends/Holidays:

  • Occasionally if there are emergencies
