Industry Spotlight – Zach Boehm

What is your life verse and why?

Matthew 13:34: “Jesus always used stories and illustrations like these when speaking to the crowds. In fact, he never spoke to them without using such parables.”

Wow, what an endorsement for the power of story. As a career content creator, it’s motivating to know that storytelling was Jesus’ go-to move. Too often we look at stories as just shallow entertainment or criticize them for being “too open for interpretation.”

Jesus knew, though, that stories are the secret for unlocking the human heart.

Can you touch your tongue to your nose?
I always thought so but just tried and failed.

What’s your hidden talent?
Magic. Or at least making things disappear and spending half my day trying to find where I put them.

What’s your go-to roadtrip snack?
Currently roasted pumpkin seeds but I wish it could be Twizzlers or Combos.

What’s the last show you binge watched?
Away on Netflix

Favorite zoo animal?
Elephants. Their size captivates me.

Beach or mountains?
Mountains, where I don’t get self-conscious wearing a t-shirt.

What’s your middle name?
Jess, and as a kid I was mortified when anyone found out because it’s a girl’s name, supposedly.

iPhone or Android?

Pizza toppings?
Half pepperoni / half sausage because I’m too cheap to pay for two toppings.

Wise, Weird & Welcome: Learning and Leading with the Lepers and the Locust Eaters

We’ve all read the same books about teamwork, leadership, communication, and culture that everybody reads. We’ve mastered Maxwell, studied Sanborn, Sinek, and Sun Tzu, and liberally cribbed Collins in aborted attempts to go from good to great, but…

How’s that working out for you?

What if you left St. Louis with an entirely new lens through which to view and act upon improvements in:

Let’s examine how this all connects together, but approach it from an entirely different angle. Don’t just think outside the box. Kick the box to the curb and start at zero.
