What is your life verse and why?
“Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.” Psalm 98:4
God has moved me through music all of my life. Happy or sad, music can turn my day completely around. I’m thankful that God has given me the opportunity to be a small part of His bigger mission and to see many lives changed through music both personally and professionally.
A genie gives you three wishes—what are they?
- Happiness for my family
- Endless supply of guilt free chocolate for the entire world.
- For a few more wishes. Because three is not enough.
If you could time travel, when and where would you go?
I would go back to Smith Lake, Alabama in the summer of 87’ and spend a day with my Grandad Coleman. He passed away before I was born but my family keeps his memory alive by sharing so many stories about him throughout the years. Although I know we will get to hang one day in Heaven, I think it would have been pretty cool to spend a day with him on earth. So if I ever had a chance to time travel, that is definitely where I would go.
What’s your favorite fast food chain?
Hands down, Chick-Fil-A!
What was the first thing you wanted to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a country music singer. I used to plan my own shows in my parents living room, dress up like Reba and make my family come watch me perform. My family has and continues to be very supportive in whatever I pursue. They are a true blessing.
If you were an animal, what animal would you want to be?
A lion. They are bold and fierce.
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Mac & Cheese. So bad for you, but so good!
What’s the career highlight you’re most proud of?
There have been many amazing moments. From hitting five #1’s in a row with for KING & COUNTRY, to Francesca Battistelli’s “Messiah” going #1 in just four weeks. I feel very blessed to have such an amazing career and work with a fantastic team. It’s hard to choose just one moment, but one that really stands out thus far is getting promoted to National Director in January 2021. I’ve been very passionate about radio promotions for a decade. To continue to do what I love is a dream come true. But being honored with a chance to be a Director at Curb|Word is a true blessing. Shout out to our team’s fearless leader, Jeri Cooper for giving me the opportunity to continue to excel. I’m forever grateful to her for that.
What’s the first thing you do in the morning?
Depends on the morning. Some mornings, it’s hitting the snooze for an extra five minutes of sleep and other days I get up and go for a run.
Do you think iced coffee should only be consumed in the summer or all year round?
All year round! It’s nice to have the option especially in the south where the weather is so unpredictable.
What’s your favorite family tradition?
My family has many wonderful traditions. But my favorite has to be, breakfast on Christmas morning. My dad always makes breakfast and my whole family comes to my parents’ house. Many laughs and memories are shared.
