Industry Spotlight – ShawnMarie Aiken

What is your  life verse:
Philippians 1:6 (Amplified) I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return].

I’m a work in progress. Someday I will be perfect, and then God will have to take me to heaven — For I will start bragging about it – AND we’ll have to start all over.

Favorite ice cream?
Pecan Praline

Who’s your hero?
Biblical – Deborah and Jayel in the book of Judges (never mess with a woman with a frying pan and a tent stake).

Movie – Captain America.

Real life – a man named Patrick Klein of Vision Beyond Borders, he’s a modern-day Apostle Paul who smuggles Bibles into closed and hostile countries like North Korea, Cuba and China.  Plus, has started orphanages and helps rescue women and children who have been sex-trafficked.  I’ve had the honor of interviewing him and he was our keynote speaker for a Pastor’s Appreciation Luncheon.

How many hours of sleep do you need?
7 to 8

What 1 meal would you eat for the rest of your life?
And not gain weight – Shrimp Alfredo Pasta w/ warm buttered bread, and we should probably throw in a salad to be healthy.

Hobbies?
Play piano and lead worship — Flower gardening and “patio” in my outdoor living space in the summertime — “Hallmarking” my house during the Holidays (After decorating for Fall and Christmas my house looks quite bare).

Worst gift you’ve ever received?
The pooping sheep at a white elephant gift exchange.  My boys thought it was hilarious.

How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Right now for winter season – at least 10 pair – mostly fashion boots, and then 7 to 8 pair of sandals just waiting for the snow to melt and the sun to come out.  I love shoes – I even wrote a little song when my daughter was young called, “Shoes, shoes – you can never have too many pairs of shoes”.

Weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?
Rocky Mountain Oysters – it’s a Montana ranch thang.

Toilet Paper…over or under?
Just please put it on the holder.

How funny do you think you are…on a scale of 1 to 10?
